Sheryl Fappiano is a professional Geriatric Care Manager (GCM) working in all of Western MA to improve the safety of elders in their living environment. She is a licensed social worker, specializing in Gerontology. She has worked for over twenty five years in a variety of settings, all directly relating to Geriatrics. Along with working as a professional care manager for more than eight years, Sheryl has worked for eleven years as a medical assistant in a physician’s office. Sheryl’s experience in the medical field has increased her awareness of illnesses and conditions often associated with the elderly. After starting her own business in 2003, Sheryl has naturally gravitated to helping families with conflict resolution and assisting many elders with End of Life issues. It is her honor to be such an important part of what it takes to help elders and their families’ transition through some very difficult times.

Marsha Stone, LPN. Marsha has been working in the field of Geriatrics for many years. Most recently, she was the LPN at an assisted living in the Boston Area. She was responsible for wellness assessments, family interactions and updates, medical emergency triage and resident medication oversight. Prior to that, she was an activity coordinator, working directly with elders. Marsha brings to Elder Care Access, LLC a strong knowledge of not only nursing, but common sense skills. She is extremely personable with the seniors, who have taken to her quite well. She documents all visits to the elders on a timely basis, so that the  family and guardians can be updated accordingly. Marsha has shown strong interpersonal skills, and professionalism that is needed to work with the various entities is this business. She is assists in making routine house calls, med pours, evaluations, etc. While the GCM is away, Marsha covers for her so there is never a gap in service. It is our pleasure to add Marsha Stone to our team of professionals, who are eager to serve the elders in this community.

Charlene Davey Over the years, Elder Care Access, LLC has come across numerous elders who desperately want to continue to pay their bills. However, due to failing eyesight, memory loss or arthritis, can no longer do so unassisted. In 2009, Charlene Davey was hired by Elder Care Access, LLC and has made a positive impact on several clients. She has used her 15 years of experience in the financial industry as a Senior Client Associate at Wachovia Securities and as an assistant to the Investment Advisor at Fink and Perras Insurance Agency to assist elders in many aspects of their finances. She will balance the checkbook; work with investors, insurance companies, tax preparers, etc. to be sure that all financial matters are dealt with in a timely manor. Elder Care Access, LLC is pleased to offer this bonded and fully insured service to our clients.

Debra Berniche is our Office Manager who has been operating an efficient, well organized office for Elder Care Access since 2005. Debra has been employed in an administrative environment since graduating college.  She worked as the payroll manager for a large company for several years in Connecticut before moving to Western Massachusetts with her husband to operate their own business. After selling their business in 2005, Debra brought to Elder Care Access, LLC over 25 years of administrative experience. Debra coordinates communication between our elders, their family members, and our staff with an immense level of professionalism and compassion, and continues to assist in any avenue necessary to help elders in our community.
